My Path to the OCC

I started college intent on studying art history but graduated with a degree in international business. After graduation, I worked as a management consultant before joining the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Working at the OCC

The opportunity to work for the OCC came at the perfect point in my career. Most of my time is spent facilitating the completion of projects and making sure they’re executed on time and on budget. My mantra is “Plan your work. Work your plan.” I’m a planner, and my job allows me to do what I love at my full potential. The agency’s attractive benefits, work/life flexibility, and great retirement plan also made joining the OCC an easy decision.

The People at the OCC

I work with a talented team of professionals who have a tremendous amount of respect for each other, both personally and professionally. We work very well together, and it makes working on projects a lot more enjoyable.

On Mentorship

There are many formal and informal mentoring programs at the OCC. I encourage all new employees to get out there, meet people, find a mentor, ask questions, and get involved. There are many opportunities to learn new skills outside of your normal job, connect with staff across the agency through mentoring and employee network groups, and gain exposure with senior OCC leaders.

Outside of Work

I love to travel, and I’m a big foodie. I also enjoy practicing yoga and attending live music concerts. The 9:30 Club is my favorite venue in Washington, D.C.
